Marchen Maersk named at Felixstowe
The 18,000 TEU mega ship, the Marchen Maersk, has been officially named in a ceremony at the Port of Felixstowe, the Port of Britain. One of the biggest container ships in the world, the Triple-E class vessel is operated by Maersk Line on its Asia-Europe

The Port of Felixstowe has taken delivery of its first two remote control ship-to-shore gantry cranes. The two new cranes, the 32nd and 33rd at the UK’s largest container port, were delivered on the Zhen Hua 23 from ZPMC in Shanghai.
Port of Felixstowe passes 70m TEU milestone
The Port of Felixstowe passed another milestone today (21 August 2013) when it handled the 70th million TEU since container operations began at the port in the mid-1960s.
